After completing a paediatric placement in her final year of studies, Nikala developed a passion for working with children. She practising in a family centred way and makes every therapy sessions enjoyable and unique to each child. She has a special interest in working with children with developmental delay, intellectual disabilities and children on the Autism Spectrum.
Nikala enjoys working in early intervention to increase play and social skills in young children and helping them learn new and important skills. She recognises the importance of supporting school aged children to help increase their potential in school based activities, including handwriting, fine motor skills, gross motor skills and emotional regulation.
Nikala aims to assist your child to develop the skills they need to grow into functional, confident and independent adults, by providing the appropriate therapy and strategies to help them reach their goals.
Nikala is currently undertaking training in the Zones of Regulation, Leah Kupyers. She regularly attends professional development opportunities.
