Our team of Occupational Therapists (OT’s) specialise in children with physical and social/emotional difficulties. OT’s look at the occupations or activities that children perform including:
Self-care skills
such as toileting, dressing, eating, bathing/showering.
Play and social development
Social and emotional development assists children with pretend play, turn taking, cooperative play with other children, and their participation in group leisure/sport activities.
Skills for kinder or school
- Fine motor skill development (writing, drawing, cutting),
- gross motor development (climbing, riding a bike, access to playground equipment)
- visual motor/perceptual skills (orienting self in space, judging distances, following lines when reading)
- Building skills for the classroom (listening and following instructions, concentration, organising their school belongings)
